Product 9/12
this relay box was made to use the ft757 with an amplifier of course it could be used with any radio and amp a nice alternative to the ameritron arb704 for $89.95
Many of the more modern rigs are not capable of switching the larger currents and higher voltages of the transmit receive relays of some linear amplifiers. This small box was made by Yaesu to remedy that situation. Although it was made for the FT-757, it can be used with almost any rig that needs a "beefier" relay to switch the linear amp. It does not even need to be a Yaesu rig. This box needs 13 V DC (and has an RCA phono plug for that purpose), and is connected to the rigs linear amplifier relay output with another RCA phono plug. The output of the box has both normally open and normally closed contacts, both terminated in RCA phono jacks. Contacts are rated at 600 VA AC, 150 W DC load, and will switch up to 250 volts and up to 5 amps.
