Multimode HF/VHF/UHF Receiver

Spanning the “Long Wave” to “Microwave” frequency bands, the VR-5000 is a high-performance multimode desk-top receiver which covers 100 kHz through 2.6 GHz!* The VR-5000’s wide array of features includes SSB, CW, AM, and FM reception, 2000 Memory Channels, a special pre-set Shortwave Broadcast Memory Bank, a Band Scope, World Time Clock, and a host of versatile scanning capabilities.

The VR-5000’s stylish display includes an audio wave meter, for monitoring incoming signal quality, as well as a world map which displays the locations of stations in the Shortwave Broadcast Memory Bank. Available as an option for the VR-5000 is the DSP-1 Digital Signal Processing Unit, which provides Bandpass, Notch, Noise Reduction, and CW Peaking Filter filters. Also available as options are the DVS-4 Digital Voice Recorder, for recording and playback of incoming signals, and the FVS-1 Voice Synthesizer, which provides an audible readout of the operating for those with vision impairments.
